GALLERY owners have unveiled a brand-new exhibition to the public for the first time. 

David and Karen Drake own Caerbladon gallery in Malmesbury and have recently revealed pictures from their latest exhibition Global Carnival by photographer Jason Gardner ahead of the Malmesbury Carnival.

These colourful pictures will be shown at the Caerbladon gallery in Market Cross, at Malmesbury Library and at Birdcage Walk in Malmesbury until Saturday, September 2.

Jason has documented the ritual of carnival in 16 different countries for the last 15 years.

His images focus on traditional, folkloric and community celebrations.

The exhibition will be accompanied by music, carnival workshops, talks about carnival arts and film screenings.

Jason has also focused on music performance associated with carnival, as well as the masks and costumes which connect people with their roots while enabling them to rebel against and transcend their daily life and surroundings.
