A PARK in Cirencester has received a prestigious award for the sixth year running.

St Michael's Park has recently received the esteemed Green Flag Award.

This prestigious award is the benchmark international standard for publicly accessible parks and green spaces in the United Kingdom and around the world.

The award is managed under licence from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities - a UK Government department - by Keep Britain Tidy.

Members of Cirencester Town Council were thrilled to hear that St Michael's Park has once again achieved this accreditation and said this result is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the team that care for the green space so that everyone can enjoy it.

Keep Britain Tidy’s Green Flag Award scheme manager Paul Todd MBE said: “I would like to congratulate everyone involved at St Michael’s Park in achieving a Green Flag Award.
