THE family of a beloved "mother, wife and nanny" who passed away following a crash last week have issued a heartfelt tribute.
Linda Sawle, aged 62, died on Sunday, June 4 after being involved in a collision with a BMW in the Hester’s Way area of Cheltenham on Friday afternoon (June 2).
The crash took place while Linda was crossing the road on the corner of Bramley Road at the junction with Tanners Road.
Linda sustained leg and foot injuries and was taken home by the driver of the car before relatives took her to Cheltenham General Hospital for treatment.
She was later discharged and returned home before passing away.
Officers from the Roads Policing Unit conducted enquiries to identify the driver of the BMW and have since arrested a 21-year-old man and 22-year-old woman, both from Scotland, on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
Linda's family have now released the following statement: "We are saddened to announce the loss of our wife, mother, and nanny, Linda Sawle on Sunday, June 4 2023.
"Words cannot describe the loss we are feeling as a family."
