A POPULAR swimming pool in Cirencester is set to open this week.
Cirencester Open Air Swimming Pool, situated next to Cirencester Park in Riverside Walk, opens for the summer on Thursday, May 11.
This opening is a week earlier than in previous years and the daily timetable will be slightly restricted on weekdays for the first week.
The 28 metre pool will be open all day on Saturday, May 13 and Sunday, May 14.
This outdoor pool offers swimmers of all ages a chance to swim in natural spring water heated to 26°C.
It is a charity run by a committee of enthusiastic volunteers for the benefit of the community.
There will be an array of sessions to get involved in such as fitness swims, family swims, adult and toddler sessions and aqua aerobics.
The popular weekly Friday Youth Evening (school years 7 to 11) will continue (admission £1 only) as will the Sunday Inclusive Swim for those who struggle with crowds and noise.
There will also be more special events, including moon swims and dawn swims.
