SOME exciting events will take place in Cirencester Park over the coronation weekend.

Artist Zoe Bate, of Luna Loves Willow, will be holding various willow making workshops.

For £4.50 each children can make willow crowns next to the popular Beano coffee truck in Cirencester Park on Friday, May 5 between 5pm and 7pm.

Families can also bring a picnic blanket and enjoy various activities including giant chess and wood rubbings (provided by the Cirencester community group Men’s Sheds Association).

Refreshments, including prosecco, will be available at the Beano.

On bank holiday Monday (May 8) Zoe will be teaching crafters how to make willow kites at The Old Kennels between 11am–1.30pm.

Small-group workshops will run from 11am to 1.30pm for up to 40 minutes and will cost £8.50 per child.

A commemorative photo of kite flying in the Jubilee Community Arboretum will be taken at 1.30pm.

Pre-booking for both workshops is advised.
