TWO Gloucestershire businesses and one Wiltshire-based events venue won prestigious wedding awards.
The Guides for Brides Customer Service Awards took place at the Oxford Town Hall on Wednesday, March 29.
Guides for Brides is a website which features a comprehensive directory of wedding suppliers across the UK where brides and grooms can search for suppliers, read reviews, and compare prices.
The awards recognise wedding suppliers who have provided exceptional customer service to brides and grooms throughout the year and are judged based on customer feedback and ratings submitted to the Guides for Brides website.
This year there were 35 categories and in Gloucestershire and Wiltshire there were a total of 16 finalists, three winners and one highly commended business.
Winners:
• The Matara Centre, wedding venue in Kingscoate, between Nailsworth and Dursley - winner of the unique wedding venue category
• Posy & Pearl Bridal Boutique, bridal shop in Cirencester - winner of the bridal wear category
• Grittleton House, events venue in Grittleton, near Chippenham - winner of the Stately Homes, Castles & Mansions category
Highly Commended:
• The Kingscote Barn, near Tetbury - highly commended in the barn wedding venue category

Donna Tedford, the owner and founder of Posy & Pearl Bridal Boutique said on a Facebook post: "Well what can I say, sat this evening reflecting on an amazing night last night, massive thank you to Guides for Brides for a fantastic evening!
"We are totally over the moon with our win, not that it has truly sunk in yet.
"I have these girls to thank, not only do I have a wizard of a seamstress Yasmin Trotman who I swear is magic, but I also have a pocket rocket Gemma Boulton who comes in every Tuesday after a busy Saturday and gets the place back in order!!"
