A MAN has admitted to stealing groceries worth more than £800 from Waitrose in Cirencester.
Lewis Shepperd, aged 41, pleaded guilty to the offence at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on Friday, March 17.
He is charged under the Theft Act 1968 of stealing groceries worth £828.99 from Waitrose in Cirencester with an unknown accomplice on Friday, February 24.
A community order was imposed stating that the defendant must carry out 60 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months.
Shepperd, from Bedhampton Road in Portsmouth, must pay a £114 victim services surcharge plus £85 costs - a total of £199.
