HEAVY rain left parts of Malmesbury flooded as these pictures show.
However, residents suffered only minor disruptions and avoided a repeat of the devastation that hit the town in 2012.
The Environment Agency has issued a flooding warning for Upper Bristol, Avon from Malmesbury to Chippenham.
Meanwhile Park Road, Brokenborough is currently closed.
A photo taken yesterday afternoon (Thursday, December 12) shows water on Park Road at Huws Gray Buildbase Malmesbury.
A spokesperson for the building materials store confirmed in a statement on Facebook that they were shut yesterday and are still closed today.
“Due to severe flooding we will be closed today. Apologies for any inconvenience,” a statement reads.
Malmesbury Victoria Football Club has also flooded.
A spokesperson for the club said in a tweet: "Very tough times at the club. A shame to see the summer of hard work put in by our grounds team under water. But again, would like to thank @CirenTownFC for letting us use their facilities in such difficult times.

Malmesbury flood warden Sue Poole has urged all residents to avoid all flood water and urged drivers to drive carefully.
She said in a statement yesterday morning: “Please drive carefully if you must as many roads are already flooded, and stay away from the river and flood water. It is dangerous.
“If you are driving, be aware potholes will be full of water as you won’t necessarily be able to see them. Stay safe.”
A spokesperson for Malmesbury Flood Group said in a statement on Thursday: “Due to very heavy rain over the past few days, the group are alert and monitoring the situation in the town.
“The Sluice gates are fully open at Cowbridge.
“Many roads are already flooded and the Flood Group advises that members of the public stay away from the river and the flood water.”
Meanwhile rail lines throughout Wiltshire continue to be disrupted.
The Great Western Railway mainline between Swindon and Bristol has been closed for a second day causing travel chaos.
It was originally shut yesterday due to flooding.
