CIRENCESTER College held its annual awards ceremony this week to celebrate its former and current students. 

The event held on Tuesday (December 20) was attended by around 150 guests including current and past students, staff, employers, sponsors, family and friends.

Over fifty students received recognition for their achievements and successes during their time at the college.

The Wilts and Glos Standard prize for Media and Communication was awarded to Elliot Round for his consistently brilliant work ethic and talent for animation.

His drive and dedication to his studies was commended by his former teachers.

College Principal Jim Grant congratulated students on their individual successes, the resilience they had shown despite the challenge of Covid.

He also spoke about the future of Cirencester College including the opening next year of the new T-level building and the brand-new Art Loft. 

Peter Holmes, Chair of Corporation congratulated the award winners and wished them every success for the future. 

Cirencester College alumni, Christine Cadman was a guest of honour at the event. 

She spoke of own fears of failure and her struggles with imposter syndrome and how she overcame them to finish her studies and start her career in medicine.
