A Gloucestershire hotel and a pub with rooms have been named in The Times and The Sunday Times Best Places to Stay 2023 list.

Thyme in the Cotswolds came out on top for the best spa hotel category and if you’re looking for somewhere new to stay, this hotel could be one to add to your to-visit list.

Gloucestershire hotel named best spa hotel

Thyme’s website explains that its accommodation is spread across both houses and cottages and that “no two rooms are the same”.

On arrival, guests can expect “a complimentary trug of goodies, plus a minibar of delicious liquors, teas and coffee”.

Cosy bedrooms, elegant bedrooms and garden bedrooms are just some of Thyme’s offerings.

Thyme also impresses on Tripadvisor with a 4.5 rating from 209 reviews.

Thyme wasn’t the only establishment putting the Cotswolds on the map though as Seaham Hall in County Durham came out on top for the North.

Gloucestershire inn named regional winner for central England

Another Gloucestershire establishment was also recognised in the list.

The Fox at Oddington which is located in Moreton-in-Marsh came out on top for central England in the regional categories.

The pub’s website describes its rooms as “individually designed”.

It adds: “Elements of raw materials reflect rural habitats, whilst bronze finishes nod to equestrian influences and luxurious, natural linens compliment views over a wildflower roof top.”

The Fox at Oddington has a 4 rating on Tripadvisor from 645 reviews.
