CHRISTMAS returned to Cirencester in festive events held last weekend.
Cirencester Advent Market and Light Switch-On event finally returned after last year’s event was cancelled by organisers due to a storm warning.
This year’s event was expanded to include a two-day street market on Saturday (November 26) and Sunday (November 27) with over 200 stalls with live music, performances, street entertainment and Christmas activities.
The extended market stretched the whole length of the Market Place and also spread into Cricklade Street and Castle Street.
There was also a silent firework display, children's rides and a special visit from Santa and his sleigh.
A spokesperson for Cirencester Markets said: “Well, that was a busy weekend!
“I hope you were able to enjoy the weekend’s events in the town centre and the light switch on, we’re really pleased with how the event went.”
There are more festive markets planned every day in Cirencester leading up to Christmas with events taking place in the Corn Hall and on the Market Place.
