POLICE are warning residents after jewellery was stolen in a burglary in Lechlade. 

Burglars broke into a home in Kingsmead by climbing over a fence and smashing the property's UPVC French doors.

Several items of jewellery were stolen in the burglary which occurred between Monday (November 7) and Wednesday (November 9). 

Fairford and Lechlade Neighbourhood Policing Team are appealing for information.

In a community alert statement they said: “A burglary occurred in Kingsmead Lechlade between Monday, November 7 and Wednesday, November 9 whereby unknown persons gained entry by climbing over a fence and smashing the French UPVC doors.

"Items of jewellery were stolen.

“The team will add this location to our patrol plan. 

“With the darker evenings please use this as an opportunity to have a look at your home, garage or shed security.”
