A FIRE is sending up a large plume of smoke which is visible for miles across the area.

These pictures were taken from Rodborough in Stroud by resident Claire Penketh a few minutes ago looking across from Butterrow Lane towards London Road and Chalford.

It appears that the fire is in the Rodmarton area.

The large cloud of smoke can be seen from as far as Nailsworth, Malmesbury and parts of Cirencester with several residents posting pictures on Facebook.
