The Gloucestershire Vintage & Country Extravaganza returned to South Cerney airfield over the weekend.

The popular event, which usually attracts over 20,000 visitors, had not been held since 2019 as a result of the pandemic.

But the 46th edition of what is the South-West's largest festival of vintage transport was worth waiting for as sunny skies greeted visitors on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

More than 1,000 classic cars, motorbikes were on display at the event alongside 140 military vehicles and 200 tractors.

There was also a special procession of vehicles built in 1952 to commemorate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

The live action arena featured around 70 full-size steam engines, with people given the opportunity to watch them in action and even drive one of them.

Other entertainment included a performance by the the Royal British Legion Poppy Parachute Display Team, a traditional Punch and Judy Show and fairground rides.
