POLICE have arrested a man in connection with an incident in which a woman was chased through woods in Tetbury.
He was arrested yesterday (Saturday, August 6) on suspicion of stalking involving fear of violence or serious alarm or distress and remains in police custody.
The victim was walking in Hermit's Cave Woods in Tetbury at 1.15pm when a man purposefully began following her on Thursday, July 28.
More than 20 people had previously been in touch with police since they released an e-fit of the suspect on Tuesday (August 2).

Non-uniformed officers from the specialist Vanguard response team have also been patrolling Tetbury since the terrifying incident.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information which could help identify the man should contact police quoting incident 270 of July 28.
