A NEW shop has opened in Cirencester town centre.

Eco-Able, which is 'on a mission to make sustainable shopping easy', was established online in 2020 and has just opened in Silver Street.

For the last few years the business has been web-based as well as having pop-up events in various different shops across Cirencester.

Besides selling sustainable products, the aim is to become a hub for spreading information about sustainability.

Owner Dani Seatter, a former teacher, is passionate about finding eco-friendly alternatives to many of the single-use items in use.

After working on Eco-Able for several years Ms Seatter recently decided that opening a shop was the next logical step for them.

"It has been amazing and a great few weeks for us," said Ms Seatter, who has lived in and around the Cirencester area for the last two decades with her family.

"As soon as the opportunity came up we jumped at the chance."

"At the shop we have also been able to have some wonderful chats with residents and shoppers about sustainability.

"We want the shop to be a sort of hub to branch ideas.

"Lots of Cirencester-based businesses have been very supportive with us during the last few weeks.

"It is also much nicer and better to chat about these issues face-to-face.

"I used to be a teacher - owning a business was never really on the radar for me.

"But once I started learning more and more about sustainability I felt I had to do something.

"At Eco-Able we also try and use local suppliers.

"One of the things I love about the business is being able to support other local businesses.

"So far it has been a lot of fun and I have learnt a lot from the process.

"It just seemed the perfect time for this."

Eco-Able opens between Tuesday to Saturday.
