A CIRENCESTER motorist was given a hefty fine after being caught speeding in a Mercedes Benz.
Andrew Heap, aged 46, of Hereward Road, Cirencester, was caught speeding in a Mercedes Benz on September 12 last year.
Heap was caught driving at 51 miles per hour on a 40mph road on the A338 Wessex Way, Dean Park, Bournemouth.
The case was proved under the single justice procedure at Weymouth Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
Heap was handed a £220 fine and must also pay £90 in costs plus a £34 victim services surcharge.
A total of £344 must be paid by Tuesday, July 5.
Heap was also given three penalty points on his driving licence.
