Harry McKirdy's long hair has been almost as much of a feature of his season as his goalscoring for Swindon Town - but now the campaign is over he has gone for a drastic new look.

The Town talisman recently visited Blend Barbers on Rodbourne Road with teammate Jack Payne and received a haircut from Benny Watts, who transformed his long brown locks into a sharp bleached-blonde hairdo.

The striker revealed his new look with an Instagram post thanking Benny. He also used his catchphrase 'proper wallop' to describe it.

Benny himself posted about the visit from the two Town players on Instagram, praising them for a good season.

He said: "Always a pleasure having these two come by the shop. Such a good season from both of them. Onto the next."

Town started the season as relegation favourites after a pre-season marred by an ownership battle but the players defied all odds to finish in sixth place and earn themselves an unlikely play-off place.

After a heartbreaking defeat on penalties at Port Vale, they go into the next season hoping to build on their success.
