The vehicle crashed into Red Lodge on the site of Stonehouse Park Infant School & Children's Centre in Elm Road around 9.30am
No one is believed to have been seriously hurt.
The headteacher has shared their shock after the incident.
The road was closed while emergency services attended and a gas leak was reported.
It is now open again.
