A tiny forest has sprung up in the middle of Walcot and now South Swindon Parish Council are in need of 'tree keepers' to maintain it.
The council worked with Nationwide Building Society, Vaillaint UK and Earthwatch Europe to plant trees in a small patch of Buckhurst Field.
Tiny Forests is an initiative set up by Earthwatch Europe to bring the benefits of a forest into the heart of urban spaces. Their goal is to reconnect people with nature and raise awareness of climate change.
Buckhurst Tiny Forest is Swindon’s second Tiny Forest, adding to the previous East Wichel Park Tiny Forest.
