The restaurant at Cirencester Park Polo Club is serving a new pudding inspired by the classic polo mint.

A large meringue shaped and designed to look like the famous mint with a hole is now on the dessert menu at Ivy Lodge Bar & Brasserie.

Executive Ethan Rodgers has worked with specialist cheesecake and meringue makers Powdered Sugar Bakery.

The business started three years ago and the bakery makes unique bespoke meringue cakes for for weddings, engagements, birthdays, anniversaries and more.

Owner Lorraine O’ Connor said: “I had to ask Ethan was he joking, did he actually want polo written on it? 'Yes' he said.

"So after a few practice runs the meringue polo was made; and apparently it is going down extremely well.”

They will now be open to the public for lunches as well as taking bookings for private functions.

“It is great to be open to all and to work with great local suppliers like Lorraine," said Ethan.

"The polo looks mint, no pun intended and is exactly the type of fun I wanted to have with our menus when I took over."
