AN UPDATE has been given on the main road from Cirencester to Stroud which shut as critical work began.
At Sapperton, the A419 from Brimscombe to Cirencester was shut by Gloucestershire County Council.
This closure took place place between Monday, January 10 to Friday, January 21 from 09:30 to 15:30 every day (not including weekends).
The reason for the road closure was due to Ash dieback - a fungus which originated in Asia.
The Woodland Trust states that Ash dieback will kill around 80% of ash trees across the UK.
Gloucestershire Roads have confirmed that the road is now open as the work was completed on Friday.
