Lit Fibre has completed the first phase of the installation of its gigabit fibre network in Cirencester.

The company says its 10Gb capable network will deliver a more reliable and consistent service than the old copper based network.

Residents can check availability and order via litfibre.com.

Lit Fibre is in the midst of rolling out across the town, which will continue into 2022.

Tom Williams, CEO of Lit Fibre, said: “It’s fantastic to announce we’re live in Cirencester.

“We know how much the residents of these towns have been waiting for full fibre and want to move off the unreliability of copper cables.”

Cllr Philip Robinson, Gloucestershire County Council Cabinet member for economy, education and skills, said: “This is very welcome news for people in Cirencester who will benefit from faster broadband speeds.

“Access to reliable, consistent broadband is important so I’m pleased to see this new network being deployed across the town.”
