A SWINDON driver has been banned from the roads for 18 months for being drunk at the wheel.
Adaam Peera, of Meadowcroft in Stratton St Margaret, drove a Mini One along Greenbridge Roundabout and Drakes Way on August 7 while having 150 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of his bloodstream.
The legal drink-drive limit, for blood samples, is 80 microgrammes of alcohol per 100ml of blood.
The 19-year-old pleaded guilty to the charge at Swindon Magistrates Court.
He received a £379 fine and must pay £85 in court costs as well as £38 to victim services.
