A NEW children’s soft play centre is set to open its doors just in time for Christmas.
Lizzie’s Fun House, in St George’s Square, Droitwich, is packed full of padded ramps, tunnels and platforms for little ones to explore.
Hot and cold food will also be served in the adjoining cafe area so parents can catch up over a coffee or slice of cake while keeping an eye on their kids.
Ideal for ages one to nine, the centre was due to open its doors today but a delivery issue has pushed the launch back to the weekend.
Writing on Facebook, Lizzie’s Fun House said: “As you are all aware we were planning to open our doors on Wednesday December 1.
“However, due to the delivery and transport issues which are affecting the whole nation at the moment, we have been let down by a few suppliers who can’t deliver key products in time for opening.
“Therefore, we have had no choice but to postpone the opening to Saturday December 4.
“I appreciate a lot of you were looking forward to coming down and supporting us on Wednesday and to say sorry we will be giving away 50 free Christmas Gift Packs for the kids on Saturday on a first come first serve basis.
“Once again, apologies for the delay and we look forward to welcoming you all on Saturday.”
As it stands, there is currently no need to book a slot for the big opening day or for any further sessions.
However, bosses at the centre have instead asked any keen parents to register their interest on the website so they can manage expectation and provide a ‘great service’.
Families can instead pay on the door for an hour and a half ‘stay and play session’, which costs £4.50 for any child over the age of one, £3 for kids between the ages of seven to 12 months and nothing at all for toddlers under the age of six months.
The centre will also be available for private party hire, making it the ideal spot for any adventurous birthday boys and girls to safely enjoy their special day.
Lizzie’s Fun House will be open from 9.30am until 6.30pm seven days a week.
