PROPERTIES in the Cotswolds are sought to house families who have fled Afghanistan.
Cotswold District Council is calling on landlords to help refugee families build new lives in the county by providing them with a home.
A council spokesperson said: "We are looking for three or four bedroom homes in the Cotswolds to help support the vulnerable families coming in through the Afghan Resettlement Scheme.
"If your property is used in the scheme rent would be paid in advance and direct to landlords.
"There are also set up costs for furnishings available.
"Find out if your home is suitable and how to put it forward by visiting our website https://cotswold.gov.uk/refugeesupport
"At Cotswold District Council we are fully committed to supporting the Government resettlement scheme."
