An opening date for the new Aldi store in Malmesbury has been revealed.

Later than initially planned, the supermarket will welcome its first customers on Thursday, September 30.

An Aldi spokesperson said: “We are excited to be opening our fantastic new store in Malmesbury.

"Due to delays from our utility partners, the grand opening will be taking place slightly later than planned, but we look forward to welcoming all of our customers back to their new and improved store.”

The initial application to build the store, next to Malmesbury Garden Centre on Crudwell Road, was approved by Wiltshire Council's Northern Area Planning Committee in March 2019.

Further details about the opening are expected next week.
