A Cirencester family have started up their own production company.

Kianna, Kaye and Owen Evans, from Siddington, have founded Reejekt Productions and recently shot their first short film.

Eighteen-year-old Kianna wrote, produced and directed Take Me Home, which was filmed in August. She is usually seen the other side of the camera, having acted in short films, indie feature films, music videos and on stage.

Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard:

The short film dealt with the theme of bullying with Kianna, a former Deer Park pupil, drawing on her own experiences and the experiences of those around her from both inside and outside of the classroom.

The film is now in post-production and is due to be released in January.

Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard:

Kianna's mum Kaye said: "Take Me Home was a passion project she was determined to make, no matter what.

"She was planning on shooting just as Covid hit and lost crew and cast alike to other projects when she was finally able to film again.

Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard:

"Sometimes the obstacles she hit seemed insurmountable but with stoic determination she did it.

Fundraising is now taking place ahead of Reejekt's second film Halloween, due to be shot in November. It has been written by Kaye and will be directed by Kianna.

Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard:

Halloween is a tale of a young girl missing her mum on what was her favourite day of the year. It focuses on how children in the same family deal with grief very differently, and the weight on the shoulders of the parent left behind.
