A RESIDENT has spoken of their anger and sadness after children's play equipment at a park in Cirencester was targeted by vandals.
The incident happened at the children's assault course near the skate park on Kingshill.
One of the balance beams was dislodged from its support post, and the post was pulled out of the ground.
The damage is believed to have occurred sometime between Thursday evening and early Friday morning when it was first noticed.
The resident expressed their disappointment after spotting the damage on Friday.
Posting on the Cirencester Facebook page, they said: "The children's assault course near the skate park on Kingshill has been vandalised - it is so sad to see this.
"I do not normally post on social media, but I am angry and disappointed that there are ignorant, selfish people out there who think it is ok to destroy things that are put in place for the benefit and enjoyment of others."
