The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald: On the sceneOn the scene

"The smoke was caused from cooking on the hob after the occupant had fallen asleep."

A smoke alarm was fitted and safety advice as also given.

This morning (June 22) firefighters were again called to action, after a domestic smoke alarm activation on West View Crescent.

The defective alarm was replaced.

Devizes Fire Station added: "Parking around West View Crescent made it difficult for is to get around, so please think before you park your car at night. We would hate our arrival (or that of the ambulance) to be slowed because of your parking."
