The Annual Parish meeting will be held on Monday, May 24 at the Village Hall at 7.30 pm.

This is a chance for residents to bring up any items they wish which are relevant to Chedworth and also features charity reports and an annual report from the Parish Council. The meeting will be held under level 3 Covid regulations, so face coverings, hand sanitiser, 6ft social distancing, in one door out the other etc please.

The Chairman normally allows AOB in addition to items on the formal agenda but it is helpful if people give notice of items they wish to raise or discuss. Please contact the clerk if you wish to raise any matter.

Dog mess continues to be left on the playing fields. Residents have been compliining about having to walk around dog mess, discarded in the middle of the field and having to clear up before children’s events.

This is antisocial behaviour particularly when there are at least two bins within a few meters of the area. It is also illegal.

It has also been reported that a dog whose owners live within a few hundred yards of the playing field has been seen out roaming about alone many times. The two factors may well be related, letting a dog roam is also illegal.

There seem to be increasing numbers of deer around the village, a very large herd estimated at 60 animals has been seen on Chedworth Airfield but deer have been increasingly seen down by the Foss Way this spring.
