Police are continuing to investigate the sudden deaths of a man and woman in Cirencester, and have said there is no indication that carbon monoxide played a part. 

The pair, both in their 30s, were discovered by police at a property in Fosse Close shortly before 4.10pm on May 10. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

An inquest into their deaths was opened at Gloucestershire Coroner's Court yesterday (Monday).

In a statement issued today Gloucestershire Police said: "Investigations are continuing following the sudden deaths of a man and woman in Cirencester last week.

"The cause of death is still being established however there are no indications at this time to suggest that carbon monoxide played a part.

"The deaths are continuing to be treated as unexplained and a number of enquiries are ongoing."
