GIFFORDS Circus' latest show opens in Gloucestershire next week.

Entitled The Hooley, it launches at Giffords HQ in Lypiatt, Stroud on Wednesday, May 19 and will tour until September 26.

The Hooley comes from the imagination of Giffords Circus director Cal McCrystal who has written and directed this year’s show.

The performance is dedicated to the circus' co-founder Nell Gifford who devastatingly died of breast cancer in December 2019 aged 46.

“There will be flying fairies, naughty leprechauns, wild horses, Celtic music and dancing that will create the most joyful Irish shindig," said Cal.

"Nell and I had a great time planning The Hooley and as an Irishman I am delighted with our theme this year.

"I can't wait to start performing what promises to be the most magical and poignant show to celebrate our 21st year."

The show stars Tweedy the Clown, Nancy Trotter Landry, Lil Rice, Rebecca Musselwhite, and Duo Imagine, with live music from the Giffords Circus band, led by James Keay.
