Chedworth news with David Broad

A GROUP of residents are contemplating running a "Pop Up Coffee" in the village hall for an initial two Monday mornings starting on Monday, May 17.

The idea is that teas/coffees/cakes will be provided free of charge but donations will be welcomed.

The cafe would open at 8.30am and close at midday.

If there is sufficient interest from these events, they will continue but be self financing through teas/coffees/cakes being paid for.

The village hall will be playing their part by offering free hire of the main hall and kitchen for the first two Mondays for free but the group is seeking funding for the initial trial.

THE parish council has its first face to face meeting on Monday, May 17, a week later than the usual second Monday slot to suit the dates for Covid regulation changes.

AN online question of whether the parish council should take on the GWT nature reserve had at the time of writing received 40 votes in favour of taking it on and one against.

Questions regarding the liability for the underbridges which are in poor condition need resolution before the council can make a decision on whether to proceed.

CHEDWORTH Silver Band re-commences rehearsals on May 18, initially at the village hall.
