FAIRFORD’S eco-warrior, Heather Kent, has received yet another honour, writes Chris Roberts.
The Lechlade & District Lions were proud to award a Certificate of Appreciation to Heather, Fairford’s inspirational “Litter Picker”.
The Lions have followed her progress with keen interest and, more recently, when she picked up over 100 bags of litter during Lent. The Lions have donated to Heather’s chosen charity, Major Tom Moore’s fund.
Heather’s original goal was to pick up one bag of litter for every year of Major Tom’s life and she exceeded that goal!
Lions pick litter every Monday (Tuesday on Bank Holidays) along the Thames riverbank and they say anyone is welcome to join them.
