A TETBURY man has been handed two restraining orders after he assaulted one woman and harassed another.

Dean Wood, 39, of Cornwall Close, pleaded guilty to all three charges when he appeared before Cheltenham Magistrates Court on April 8.

Magistrates heard how Wood assaulted a woman in Cirencester by beating her on January 16, 2020.

Between July 28, 2020 and July 30, 2020, Wood damaged a sofa, carpet, walls with paint and broke a toilet seat at a property in Tetbury belonging to a second woman.

Wood then harassed his second victim between November 28, 2020, and December 9, 2020, sending messages over Facebook and visiting her home address, despite having bail conditions which prohibited him from contacting the woman or attending her address.

Magistrates ordered Wood to participate in an accredited programme for 30 days.

Wood was handed restraining orders, which prohibits him from contacting both victims directly or indirectly for two years.

He was also fined £20 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £95.
