Chedworth news with David Broad
THE road along Valley View will be closed next week from April 20 to April 26 for Thames water to do some repairs.
It is not clear if this will impact the use of the village hall car park.
THE parish council has been approached regarding the future of the Gloucester Wildlife Trust site along the old MWJR railway line through Chedworth woods.
Parish councillors are keen to retain public access to this wonderful woodland walk with it geologically rich cuttings and soaring embankments which give walkers a tree top view, all accessed from a flat and very nearly level disused trackbed leading to the now bricked up Chedworth Tunnel.
LAST Monday’s meeting should be the last “Zoom” meeting as the enabling legislation ends with the May elections.
Next meeting will therefore probably be May 17 at the village hall.
TIME is rapidly running out for performers hoping to take part in Bonzo Productions “The Sound of Music” at the Manor Chedworth on August 12, 13, 14, 15 and 19, 20, 21, 2021.
Some auditions were held on Wednesday, April 14, and the last is tomorrow, Friday, April 16, at North Cerney Village Hall with callbacks on April 17.
