A FEW Tetbury residents had a very pleasant surprise over Easter as they were presented with a special delivery of food, which was kindly donated by the local Tesco store, writes Kevin Painter.
This followed on from the special Christmas cooked meals that was delivered to some residents who were facing social isolation during the pandemic.
Residents were genuinely touched at having someone think of them.
Tetbury mayor Ann Pearce would like to thank Tesco manager Steve Fagg, who kindly donated the bags of food and of course his amazing team who packed them.
Ann added: “I would like to thank my team who over Easter delivered, Martin and his daughter Christine, and of course my husband Colin and Kevin who did a fab job of securing these, as well as delivering.”
It is hoped that this new Tetbury initiative and the Christmas dinner will continue as a new tradition as even when we get over the current crisis unfortunately isolation will still be there for some.
