A CRICKLADE man will be sentenced next month for having a baseball bat and threatening behaviour.
Shane Allen, 31, had been due to stand trial yesterday on allegations of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.
It was said that he threatened unlawful violence against five people in Cricklade on August 10, 2019, and was in possession of the baseball bat in Fullers Avenue on the same date.
However, on Tuesday Allen, of Cherry Tree Road, Cricklade, pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of threatening behaviour. He also admitted possession of the offensive weapon.

Recorder Elisabeth Bussey-Jones ordered a pre-sentence report and bailed Allen to return to Swindon Crown Court for sentence on May 7.
James Wing appeared for the Crown Prosecution Service. Allen was represented by David Lee.
