Easter Monday is shaping up to be a chilly one in Tetbury and Cirencester, with sub-zero temperatures, hail and frost expected, according to the Met Office.
Following a bright weekend, cloud has moved in from the north bringing with it some showers and bitter winds at times.
This could clear by the afternoon though, making room for some sunny spells, followed by frost in the evening, with temperatures dropping as low as 0C or -1C.
The Met Office expects wintry snow showers tomorrow in the afternoon, followed by another cold night.
Contrary to popular belief, snow is more likely in April than November. Between 1981 and 2010, there were 2.3 days of snow on average in April compared to 1.7 days in November.
Wednesday through to Friday will be just as cold, with some widespread frost.
The weather should be settled with some sunshine Wednesday, dry, cloudy and a little warmer Thursday, followed by a few showers on Friday.
