Siddington news with Alison Wagstaff

THERE are currently two vacancies on the parish council.

If candidates are forthcoming, these will be filled by co-option rather than a formal election process.

Prospective candidates are asked to submit an expression of interest to the clerk (via email – siddingtonclerk@gmail.com) by 5pm on Thursday, April 8.

You are encouraged to submit a supporting statement expressing why you are interested in being a parish councillor, and this will be made available to serving councillors as part of the co-option process.

SIDDINGTON School is currently awaiting the arrival of books to complete the new school library.

The provision of the library has been a community effort, with funding from parents, local businesses and the school PTA.

Furniture and the new carpet are already in place and staff gave up their own time to paint murals depicting the library ‘space’ theme.

The headteacher, Katie Cook, would like to thank everyone involved.
