Celebrities and so called VIP guests have long turned up in Cirencester to open places and events; promote their books, writes Robert Heaven.
These have included the popular “Zoo-time” Johnny Morris, and “Ready-Steady-Go” pop music broadcaster Cathy McGowan shown planting a tree at Elm grove care home 1988.
Pugwash creator John Ryan is show at the old Bingham Library in 1977.
