Down Ampney community news with Melanie Fouracre

DOWN Ampney Primary School's new interim headteacher, Rebecca Gray, is looking for help from villagers to help the school add more background to some old photographs that have been recently found at the school.

The school hopes to set up a History Club next term and visitors with historical knowledge of the village will be welcome.

Meetings will currently be on line until restrictions ease.

SUE and Mick Mills would like to say a huge thank you to all the generous donations given by visitors to see their Christmas Light Display.

A grand total of £500.18 was raised, which will go to Cancer and Leukaemia in Children.

DOWN Ampney Community Garden is pleased to welcome two new plot holders to the garden.

The vacant plots were advertised on the village Facebook page and were snapped up quickly.

This means that all plots will be cultivated this season.

Anyone interested in joining the waiting list for a plot can email dacommunitygarden@gmail.com to register their interest.

The sinkhole that has opened up in Church Lane will remain cordoned off until the site has been evaluated by the 'Badger Man'.

Badgers are protected animals and a way to discourage them from returning to the site whilst repairs are made to the road will have to be found.
