Ron Blackwell

Of Shilton formerly of Eastleach.

Ron died peacefully at home on Sunday, February 14, aged 90 years, with his wife and family at his side.

Ron will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

Funeral service will take place on March 8, at Eastleach Church subject to Covid-19 restrictions.

Phyllis Churchill

Of South Cerney, peacefully at home, on February 26, 2021, aged 92 years.

Much loved mother and grandmother.

John Messenger

Died peacefully at home in Siddington on February 7, aged 81 years.

Formerly of Winstone he was a renowned cricketer who played for Duntisbourne, Birdlip and Chalford.

He will be greatly missed by his partner Pam, brother Mike and Eileen, family and friends.

John was apprenticed at Gloucester Aircraft as an aircraft electrician and worked for many years at RAF Kemble.

He later worked for Gloucester and Cheltenham Health Authority as an electrician at Coney Hill Hospital, and on retirement was an invaluable volunteer in Holly House in Gloucester, winning an ‘Unsung Hero’ award in 2007.

There will be a private service at Winstone Baptist Chapel followed by burial in St. Bartholomew’s Churchyard, Winstone.

Family flowers only, donation may be given in memory of John for the upkeep of St. Bartholomew’s Churchyard.

Jean Hyslop Milbank

On February 18, 2021, at Gloucester Royal Hospital after a short illness, aged 95 years, of Kemble.

Widow of Douglas, much loved mother of John, Janet and Richard, grandmother of Sarah, Arabella, Tom, Sebastian and James and great grandmother of Aubrey, Hester and Phoebe.

Peacefully on February 24, 2021, aged 88 years.

It is with great heartache and sadness that we lost our most loving, caring husband, dad, grampy, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and everyone’s friend.

Carol sadly passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 24, aged 70 years.
