Chedworth news with David Broad
FIELDS Road is to be closed on March 1 and 2 to allow Gloucestershire Highways to fell trees suffering from Ash Dieback.
The official diversion is via the White Way and the Fosseway but it is obvious that most people will drive down through the village instead so please take extra care.
GROUNDWORK, a charity which helps people improve their communities, has provided a grant of just over £1,000 towards the Chedworth Neighbourhood Plan.
The neighbourhood plan steering group is still looking for new members.
If you would like to find out more or volunteer please contact Bella Amory.
GLOS County Council once again managed to accidentally divert traffic off the Fosseway and into Chedworth last weekend.
The Bibury road was closed at Cherry Tree crossroads with traffic eastbound diverted North up the Fosseway which then followed the diversion signs for the Thames water diversion between Chedworth and Calmsden to turn West along Fields Road, Chedworth.
This is not the first time this has happened.
CHEDWORTH Farm Shop is closing down.
They have 20 per cent off all stock and the last day of trading is Saturday, February 27.
No further details are available on their website, but a proposal to redevelop the farm shop site into a residential area of nine houses was presented to Chedworth residents in the autumn of 2019.
