Gloucestershire police have asked people to only drive this morning if there is an emergency.
Heavy snow has resulted in poor driving conditions, and a number of crashes have been reported.
A number of motorists have become stranded at Cleeve Hill, with police currently unable to assist them or get close enough to close the road.
