The M5 northbound is completely closed again from Junction 14 to 15 following a collision that has involved five cars, a van and lorry.
This is the fifth collision today. Traffic is now backed up on the M5, M4 and A38.
Traffic data site Inrix said "M5 Northbound closed, stationary traffic due to accident, five cars, a van and a lorry involved from J15 M4 J20 (Almondsbury Interchange) to J14 B4509 (Thornbury / Falfield). Congestion to J16 A38 (Thornbury) for two miles, and a five mile queue on the A38 diversion through Rudgeway to Thornbury.
"This is a separate accident to the one on each side.
"Cameras show there is a very large emergency services presence.
"Cameras show trapped traffic is being carefully let past in lane three (Of three). There are multiple breakdowns in the trapped traffic."
