FAIRFORD’S Messy Church held an entertaining Sheep Hunt between Christmas and New Year.

Children had to look around the High Street, London Road and the Market Place to find 13 sheep, each of which had a letter attached.

Once all 13 letters were unscrambled, it spelled out the name of a popular Christmas carol.

The competition closed on January 3 and the winning answer was ‘Away in a Manger’ and the winner was Elizabeth Taylor with her daughter, Susie, and grandchildren, Ava and Imogen.

The sheep were made or collected together by Kathleen Hall from Fairford and were distributed around local Fairford shops.

Messy Church have no plans to meet up in church at present, but if anyone would like a list of Messy Church activities, please contact Sarah Bottomley at stmaryslmt@gmail.com.

EMBRACE is a group of people who have experienced a big range of family planning difficulties including infertility, miscarriage, traumatic birth, stillbirth and neo-natal death, among others.

We meet to offer each other friendship and support as we discuss our experiences and seek to live well in the light of them.

We can also offer practical support to those experiencing these difficulties now.

Our next meetings will be virtual on Zoom with the next one on Friday January 22.

It’s a really welcoming and informal group.

If anyone has any interest in coming along or getting involved, we’d love to hear from them and give them any more information they need: embracefairford@gmail.com.
