Chedworth news with David Broad

THE roadside scenery around Chedworth is changing dramatically with removal of Ash trees suffering from Ash Die Back and now those on Fields Road are scheduled to be removed in early March.

Now may be the time to take some photos showing these iconic trees before they are gone.

CHEDWORTH Parish Council have their budget meeting by Zoom this Monday, January 25, at 7.30pm.

A number of projects needing funding are already on the agenda for discussion ranging from stiles to tree planting, verge maintenance and grants to charities etc.

THE parish council’s project to build storage facilities for the Hort soc and the drama group next to the mobile telephone mast has taken a step forward with approval of a tenders for the construction and it is hoped that work will begin in the spring.

The parish council will also use part of the building to store winter emergency equipment.

THE parish council grit bins were all filled at the start of winter.

With the coming of ice and snow some are becoming depleted so if you are aware of any bin where the grit is getting low then please let snow warden Alan McLellan know.
