A MINETY man admitted using pepper spray on another man.
Luke Lavery, 34, had been due to stand trial at Swindon Crown Court this week on an allegation he administered a poison or noxious substance with intent to injure, aggrieve or annoy.
He was said to have used the pepper spray on another man in Minety on June 11, 2018.
However, appearing before the crown court on Wednesday morning, Lavery, of The Crossing, Minety, pleaded guilty to the charge on a basis.
He was bailed by Judge Jason Taylor QC, who ordered a pre-sentence report, and will be sentenced on February 24. The judge told him: “My provisional view is that it passes the custodial threshold but the sentence doesn’t need to be immediate.”
